Hello, I’m Anthony Trewhitt (MBACP), I am an Integrative Relational Therapist.
I provide emotional and mental health support to those who are working through difficult times in life and find their well-being is suffering.
I’m not here to fix you, my role is to offer you a safe and confidential space where you can be heard in a genuine, non-judgemental and empathic environment. You are the expert on yourself, my role is to facilitate change, not give you advice or opinions. This is your life and I would work with you to help you unravel the obstacles that are in your way, and to enable you to find solutions that work for you..
We would work together to to enable you to make the changes within yourself that will lead to a better quality of life and understanding of yourself and the thought processes that help along your path.
Obstacles are emotional challenges to overcome.



I draw on lots of different working tools and strategies, so that I can help you in a way that is meaningful to you and is based on a strong working relationship between us.

The power within.
I firmly believe that we all have the power within us to make the positive changes within our lives and environment that can make our lives a whole lot happier, safer, more productive, and rewarding. We may have suffered a loss through a bereavement, a relationship break up. We may have issues brought on by addictions, illnesses, work related problems, family dynamics, and so on.
The list of issues that affect us is endless, the way we deal with them is possible to change, however. With the help and encouragement of being listened to in an empathic, non-judgmental and genuine way, you can create the foundation to change.
My personal life experiences, in combination with the professional training that I have undergone has given me the tools to enable you to start making positive changes within your life, to enable you to take back control of your thought process, and see the world through a much clearer lens.
A safe place.
I understand how isolation and loneliness can manifest itself in situations where people would think it not possible. Knowing that there is a safe space where you can be yourself and be heard in confidence makes a big difference when we start on a journey of change and reflection.
I am a Person Centered therapist, that is to say that you would be at the centre of all the work we do together. You will be the person who leads the sessions, we would work through what is important to you.
How I work
I offer face-to-face counselling, on-line counselling, and telephone counselling. My services are discreet, tailored to you and flexible.
My role as your counsellor would be to help you work through the issues that are troubling you, both currently and historically, that are causing you stress and anxiety. Working collaboratively with you to enable you to make the changes within yourself that will lead to a better quality of life and understanding of yourself and the thought processes that you may be needing.
We all know that life can be challenging on a day-to-day basis, and these challenges and difficulties can cause profound stress and deep anxiety. These feelings can have a severe detrimental effect on how we cope with everyday life and how we function, react to situations and how we interact with our families, friends, and other relationships that we have with people.
Fees range from £45.00 – £65.00 per hour dependent on services required.
